This course is suitable for teachers and library staff of KS3, 4 and 5.
Do your students need help to know how to keep themselves safe online? Do they need to improve their critical digital judgement skills? Do they struggle to find good information online? This masterclass is for anyone who wants to learn how to best use educational resources and workshop activities to boost students’ critical thinking skills.
Participants will learn how to:
- develop young people’s critical thinking skills
- develop young people’s understanding of the Internet and social media
- make young people more resilient to online coercion
- develop activities for teaching how to detect propaganda techniques and distinguishing the ‘wheat from the chaff’ online
- create a strategy for adapting the Digital Disruption approach for their school
