The content listed below is non-accessible for the following reasons.

Non-compliance with the accessibility regulations

  • All our videos don’t have audio descriptions. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 1.2.5 Audio Description (Prerecorded).
  • Our Catalogue page is an external website so we are not able to resolve any accessibility issues

The content is not within the scope of the accessibility regulations

This website links to the Accessit Catalogue. We are aware that there are issues with this website but this is third party software which we have no control over.

  • The search box has a missing/empty form label which might affect people using a screen reader. This fails WCAG success criteria 3.3.2 Labels or Instructions
  • The code includes a broken aria reference which means an aria reference exists but the target for the reference doesn’t exist.  This fails WCAG success criteria 1.3.1 Info and Relationships and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value
  • The website doesn’t have a first level heading which may make it page navigation more difficult for users of many assistive technologies. This fails WCAG success criteria 2.4.6 Headings and Labels
  • A positive tabindex value is present. This can cause confusion for keyboard users. This fails WCAG success criterion 2.4.3 Focus Order 2.4.3 Focus Order

The accessibility regulations don’t require us to fix PDFs or other documents published before 23 September 2018 if they’re not essential to providing our services.

What we’re doing to improve accessibility

We will regularly review the accessibility of this website with automated testing using the Lighthouse and WAVE accessibility tools. We will also conduct manual testing exercises, and review any issues reported by users of the website. We will work with our developer to make improvements.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This current statement was prepared on 18 May 2022. It was last reviewed on 16 April 2024.

This website was last tested on 20 March 2023. Testing was carried out by Cyber Media, using a combination of automated accessibility tools such as WAVE and SiteImprove, and manual testing.

Testing included a number of pages that included a wide range of functionality including videos, images, online forms and links.
